Beautiful vintage sterling silver snowflake Christmas ornament created for The Metropolitan Museum of Art and designed by noted artist and illustrator Fritz Kredel. This is the third ornament in The Met’s annual snowflake series, dating to 1973. The intricate openwork design combines a bold six-point snowflake with smaller geometric snowflake motifs around the outer edge. Includes: * Original turquoise presentation box with silver snowflake design * Original fitted interior insert * Original informational card * Sterling silver ornament The card states that the ornament was designed by Fritz Kredel and wrought in sterling silver.
