Beautiful vintage sterling silver snowflake Christmas ornament created for The Metropolitan Museum of Art and designed by noted artist and illustrator Fritz Kredel. This is the third ornament in The Met’s annual snowflake series, dating to 1973. The intricate openwork design combines a bold six-point snowflake with smaller geometric snowflake motifs around the outer edge.
